Full Water Service Line Replacement with a Clean Finish

Water service lines don't last forever. When an old line starts to fail - whether it's a slow leak, low pressure, or just age catching up - the right move is a full replacement, not a patch. That's exactly what we tackled here.

We replaced the entire water service line from the meter to the building using 1" Poly SDR-11 pipe with socket fusion fittings. SDR-11 is our go-to for this type of work. It's pressure-rated, highly durable, and the socket fusion connections create a bond that's basically seamless - no threads to corrode, no mechanical joints to loosen over time. The result is a water line built to hold up for decades.

At the building entry point, we tied into a clean copper manifold setup complete with shutoff valves and a pressure regulator. That kind of connection detail matters. It gives the homeowner real control over their water system and protects the interior plumbing from pressure spikes down the line.

One thing we take seriously on jobs like this is the restoration work. Cutting through a concrete driveway to run pipe is just part of the job - but leaving it looking rough isn't acceptable to us. We patched the concrete cuts with fresh pour, smoothed and finished them properly, and the trench through the front lawn was carefully backfilled. We don't just fix the plumbing and walk away.
