A gas dryer hookup sounds simple enough - until you dig into what's actually going on with the existing line. That's exactly what happened here. What looked like a routine hookup turned into a full gas line replacement once we got in and saw the condition of the old piping.

Here's what we were working with - aging pipe that wasn't going to cut it for a safe, reliable gas connection. So we dug in, pulled the old line, and ran new yellow CSST (corrugated stainless steel tubing) from the source to the dryer hookup location. CSST is the go-to material for residential gas lines. It's flexible, durable, and built to handle the demands of everyday appliance use. We don't cut corners on gas work - ever.

Gas piping is one of those things where doing it right the first time isn't optional. A bad connection, an undersized line, or a failing old pipe isn't just an inconvenience. It's a real safety risk. When we replace a gas line, we make sure every connection is solid, every fitting is correct, and the whole system is tested before we call it done.

Most homeowners don't think about their gas lines until something goes wrong. But if you're installing a new appliance - or if an existing gas appliance isn't performing the way it should - the line itself could be the issue. Low pressure, slow heating, or a smell you can't quite place are all signs worth looking into sooner rather than later.
