Gas line work is not something you cut corners on. When a property in Arcadia needed a full gas pipe replacement - running all the way from the meter to the building - we came in with a clear plan and the right materials to get it done safely.
We use yellow polyethylene (P.E.) plastic pipe for underground gas installations like this one. There's a good reason for that. PE pipe is flexible, corrosion-resistant, and built specifically for natural gas service underground. It's the current standard for a reason - it holds up far better than older metal pipe that can corrode and develop leaks over time.
The trench runs the full length of the yard, straight and deep. Getting the depth right matters. Proper burial depth protects the line from ground movement, root intrusion, and any accidental surface disturbance. You can see how we kept the excavated dirt off the lawn using a tarp - that's just part of keeping the job site clean and organized.
At the meter connection point, everything gets tied in precisely. The yellow tracer wire runs alongside the pipe the entire length of the run. That wire is there so the line can be located underground in the future without any guesswork - a small detail that makes a big difference down the road. This is the kind of work where every step has a purpose.
Whether it's a full gas line replacement, a repair on an existing line, or gas leak detection, we handle it with the same attention to detail on every job. Underground gas work has zero room for shortcuts, and that's exactly how we approach it.
